Thats what I was thinking too. The headliner is in great shape so I would hate to have to replace it. I like the 3M idea.
Does Jaguar make a new trim piece that would prevent the problem from coming back?
Also this happens only when I have the sunroof open, i forgot to mention before, could this be indicative of a larger issue? In my opinion its probably as simple as the 3M tape, but I don't want to overlook something if anyone out there has better info than I do.

If the headliner only falls when the sun roof is open, I would check to see if something is pushing down on it or if it is just the wind blowing it out. If it is just the wind the 3M idea is the way to go; but if there's some pushing the headliner out then you might have bigger problems.
If you have a garage (or some place that you don't have to worry about the wind) push a the headliner up (sunroof closed) and then open it. If the headliner stays then 3M the hell out of it. If the headliner falls take a flashlight and see if you can see something stuck between the window and the roof. Best of luck.

Evan, it has worked for me. Get yourself some 3M 77 upholstery spray on adhesive. The one thing that I would also recommend you do is to pull a little bit more of the fabric loose as the edge of the glue is drying out. So, if you just glue what is loose right now, in another year or so, you will end up with a little bubble of loose fabric that you will have to rip apart what you are gluing now to access. Using some masking tape and newpaper to cover what you don't want sprayed with glue is a good idea too.
