Oh yeah they like me, I'm pretty skilled in building trades so they couldn't hate me! Their wood paneling from the 70's never would have left if it hadn't been for me! Now the room is all drywall and the fake wood beams on the ceiling are gone with a semi stucco look. I used a 12" drywall knife and skim coated some mud on there to get the rough ceiling smooth and than went over it again to provide the rough stucco look-i.e. LOTS OF WORK!

By the way, I soon will be redoing their brick fireplace (inside the house) and I'm going to apply culture stone from the floor up with a spot for a 50" flat screen plasma or lcd he hasn't decided yet. It should look sweet, it was all my idea to do it but my mother in law wanted it father in law had to be convinced!
