While purchasing K&N filter at Advance Auto Parts, I asked a salesman if they have a ATF fluid for my 02 2.5 on file… (I usually ask about it at every part store with no hopes of them having it or knowing a right kind) and the guys pulls up that Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle is a listed ATF fluid for X-type.

We checked out the oil, and he noticed a new reference book, that also listed that oil for X-Type.

It is getting frustrating trying to figure out what oil to use in US. So I ask anyone who has changed or knows about changing automatic transmission fluid for x-type: PLEASE INLIGHTED ME AND MANY OTHER MEMBERS ON THIS BOARD ABOUT WHAT KIND OF FLUID TO USE IN USA. We will greatly appriciate it as our "sealed for life" trany is nearing the end of its life.

It might be fine if you did a full refill so as very little of the original is still left in the torque converter and other areas of the tranny..That's called compatibility..We need tofind that outmost importantly....So far Royal Purple Multi-specstill has my interest..

What's the cost of the Castrol? In the first link it said nothing about Jag X type JATCO trannys..the second link didn't work,
