Auto Headlamps Sensitivity?

Auto Headlamps Sensitivity?
I just had my windshield replaced. Got the OEM windshield. Auto headlamps now seem to be less sensitive than with the original windshield - meaning it takes more/less light to turn them on and off.
Does this make sense to anyone? I did not think that the sensitivity of the auto lamps could be adjusted.
Thanks,
K
