Default Auxiliary input for 2005 x type?

Good afternoon folks.
I am interested in installing an aux input for my 05 x type. It has the standard cd head unit (non-satnav) with the 6 disc changer. Is there a factory option that I can look into? I do not want to install an fm transmitter version.

Thanks!

you can add a tape player instead of your CD player and do the AUX mod that's on here, or its a matter of getting lots of expensive bits

There is a way to add an Aux Line In that goes via the tape player input. The video above is for SatNav, which you said you do not have but dennis black posted that anyway.

To do the Line In via the Tape deck you need to remove the entire stereo unit and solder 3 leads to the right locations on the Tape player PCB. The 3 leads you solder are from a Stereo connector that can be purchased at Radio Shack or the like. I have the instructions and I'll post them. I've downloaded the instructions but have yet to do this mod myself, however, it's a super cool mod that allows you to plug your cell phone into the stereo and play your library thru the stock speakers with little to no loss. Much better than a cassette adapter.

I am at a friend's house and don't have the info now, I'll post this most useful info this week.

Dennis Black's unit is an Android aftermarket complete remodel. You can search by his name and see all the components and instructions on how to do it.
