Default Back with 19x8.5 Jaguar "Custom" wheels

I think these are one of my best sets out of the 16 I've tried...

Dude, I've read lots of your posts. You have some crazy Kewl wheel selections and a nicely done X Type. I will be making my mods sometime this summer. I am planning on doing mina gallery air intake and exhaust, as well as a 50 or 75 wet shot so I can access the meat of the RPMs faster than now. I'm interested in learning what suspension set up you have on your X Type? Also, I have a XJ VDP that is the same year model as my X Type and I would love to know if the 20 spoke Rapiers from my VDP will fit my X Type? I plan to get some 19" or 20" rims for the VDP... Any recommendations? Thanks.

WHOA!

Awesome looking wheels and great to see you back in the forums! Your X never ceases to impress and neither does your great taste in wheel choices.

Nice! I was wondering what happened to you haha. Are those S type R fronts? Btw of all those wheels you have had, how many have you kept? I can't seem to part with any of mine haha, but I only have 3 sets.

Thanks. Looks like the rapiers are 5x108, so they'll work.

VERY nice. I think that a nice 5 spoke wheel looks the best on any car. Of all the wheels I have seen you put on your car I think I like these the best.

Yea I really like those rims. Understated and look almost like an oem performance wheel. The x-type is a hard car to buy rims for. It's easy to fall into the rice-burner look, or put some cheesy looking baller rims on it that don't fit with the style of the car. But you have the right idea.

Thanks all.

Justin, I still have 5 sets for this car, but have sold most of them. I have a 12 foot Gladiator tire rack in my garage.

Now they are a really nice rim but I think they would look a bit better as an 18 inch rather than a 19 inch rim.

exexpat, you posting pictures always makes me go broke because I want my xtype to look like yours haha. I just wish I had your wheel problem with wheels that actually fit my xtype. Instead, I got 7 sets of wheels and tires with only two that fit the jag....

Still, looking good as always. Keep it up

Where do you get so many wheels from exexpat? You work at a wheel shop or something? Those are sick by the way. What would you recommend for something affordable and nice looking for a nice stance on a lowered x-type? I think I am looking for either an 18x8" or 19" deep dish. Not sure what would fit though without modifying the fenders. The style I am looking for is hard to describe. I kind of want a combination of racing and baller.

I just get bored with wheels often. I work at a software company, not a wheel shop.

I'd look into the Coventry wheels if I where you. The Whitleys really suit the X-Type and have dish. It depends how deep you want to go what tires you run. Fender rolling is always a good option if you want low offsets or nice stance.
