Bad computer question.

You might try asking the seller that very question. What leads him to believe he has a "bad computer"? ECM? TCM? Something else? Does it start, but not move? Any lights on? Anything flashing? What were the circumstances when it failed? What, if anything, has he tried to fix it?
Not enough info to even start trying to diagnose.

Yeah, I am not trying to diagnose it. More fishing for info so I can make an assessment of it.
Seller claims the car is dead, no crank or anything. The result of hitting a big pothole on the highway. I like to think I pay the 1K for it, reset the inertia switch and drive away, but my luck is no where that good.
My best guess is the main harness broke at the firewall connection. Just a hard one to research with the number of computers in it.
Seller seems frustrated, I get one and two word responses from him. Here is a link, I am after a low mileage pre 04-1/2 to replace my 02 x.

Myself I would offer $500.00 and send the tow truck. The ECU connector is a very robust connection with a bolt thru the center to keep everything connected. I doubt it was damaged by a pothole. You are most likely correct that it is the Inertia Switch. It cuts all electrical power to the systems and cuts off fuel pumps.
Just my 2 cents.
