Hello all - I'm wondering if anybody has a fix for this. I have a 2003 X-type 3.0 with NavSat integrated ( Denso system). The first issue that I was having was that it suddenly disable the POI - I could not enter any address either. So I wanted to do a system restore to get it back to work. I pressed the phone+menu to get into the diagnostic tool so it lets me restore the system. I accidentally hit the S/W button on the screen menu and then it asked me for a S/W CD- I believe this is the system software to flash the memory. I do not have that CD and it would not go back so after I shut the car down and turn it back on the screen is blank out ( totally black) and all the functions in the panel are not working. Is there a way to get it back up?
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

No coincidence a "5150" means ...
In California, a "5150" code determines someone is at danger to self and others.
Because of this Jaguar/Denso 50/51 error code, I may need a straight jacket soon
The 7mb loading.kwi file is on my google drive, and I have shared the link with several forum friends. Ask and you will receive.
Unfortunately, I have the file, I have the DVD burned, but for some reason my poor Jag and Denso won't restart or reboot.
I can't afford the repair cost, so I'll keep trying different battery + key variables then report back to you most excellent folks of the forum.

just download the file unzip and burn on a DVD at slowest speed(may work if you burn to CD but have yet to try) insert disc in player
remove your key for 30 sec
start the engine
after 5-10 mins my screen came back.
Good luck.
if the screen remains blank after 15 mins try re burning the DVD with another software i used ROXIO and windows version "create a disc" both worked for me
this is the 2010 firmware update I should have the 2012 by end of next week.
remove your key for 30 sec

turn on your car edject your dvd and insert the one you just burn.
turn the car off and remove key for 30 seconds

PM me your email address. I will send you a file. You need to burn it to DVD-R loose then start car, remove map dvd and insert the one you burned. Screen should say updating. If it doesnt, just let it run for 1o minutes, then cycle ignition. I hope it works. If not you likely need DVD reader.

black screen
ok,so I had to break down and buy a nav reader off of ebay,$80.00 was a great deal. Installed it myself.WARNING; NEVER TURN IT OFF WHEN UPDATEING NO MATER HOW LONG IT TAKES! Let it complete its cycle. If you don't know ask someone.
