Default Blind rivets to replace the water shield retaining clips(c2s40065)?
aluminum or stainless blind rivets? Anybody tried that yet?

The plaastic push rivets work best. They are easy to find at auto parts stores and can be easily removed and discarded each time you need to remove the covers. With aluminum or steel you are just making it a lot harder to work on the next time.
