Very interesting indeed... You guys have given me a lot of great info and this is what I took from it -

It's a solid, reliable car
Things do go wrong, but not unlike any other car, depending on maintenance and driving style
It's fun to drive, and I won't be missing too much with the 2.5
There aren't as many Manual tranny snobs as in the bimmer forums xP


Note: He just lowered the price to $2800 from $3500 today... I'm starting to wonder if it's stolen xP For those of you just joining us, here are the craigslist ads.

This one has all the pictures

This is the same car, but with more actual textual information

I never realized there are alot of Hispanic transvestites that drove bmers. who knew

Condition of the car in the pix suggests that car has not been taken care of. Perhaps just bad pix but I would not buy it. An old car that has been neglected is an RX for trouble. Spend a bit more and find a better example.

PS-I would stay with the 5 speed though.
