Brake lights

Alex, looking at the diagram for your car, if the 3rd brake light is coming on, then you have power to the brakes. Your problem lies with either the wrong bulb installed in the tail lights or the bulb is not properly installed. You can verify that you have power back there by taking a multimeter and measuring between the green/red wire (driver's side) and chassis (or you can use the black ground wire) or the orange wire (connected to Pin 5, not the one connected to Pin 3) and chassis (passenger side). If you have 12 VDC, then you have bad bulbs. Since you do not mention any problems with the other bulbs, you know the ground wire is good. So, that only leaves but 2 issues (bulb or wiring). If you have 12 VDC at the 2 wires I mentioned, then that pretty much proves it is the bulb. To confirm this, if you pull the bulb out, look on the metal part of the bulb. You should see a number stamped on it. Is the number 7528? If not, then odds are you have the wrong bulb. Just because the base looks similar, does not mean it will work. There's more kinds of bulbs out there than I care to admit to.
On a side note, are you trying to get some LED bulbs to work? That can open up another can of problems.
Let me know, we can get you through it.
