RE: bumper removal?
It is quite staight forward to remove the bumper. The Job is much easier if you can put the front end up on jackstands, and put the key in the ignition so the steering is unlocked.
you need to remove the panel underneath first. just a lot of torx screws, Two of mine were seized and broke. then you need to remove the inner fender liner on both front wheels. I just undid half of the liner and held it back. On the USA Driver (left) side (inside the liner)there is a large wiring connector that you need to undo.
Inside the fender linder where the bumper meets the fender there is ONE bolt that hold the bumper to the fender. It is quite close to the edge of the fender lip. When you look in there you see a few 10mm bolt or nut heads and it is tempting to have a go at all of them. The Nuts are welded in place and wont turn so dont go crazy in there... once the bolt is out the edge of the bumper unclips from the fender ( there is a plastic bracket screwed to the fender )
dont unclip the bumper entirely from the fender yet.. the last bolts are the four between the headlights. (and you may have headlight washer cover to get off - pull them out and you will see how they unclip the whole nozzle is easiest to undo- I think it is obvious) Once you have these out, you can undo the four bolts and unclip the rest of the side of the bumper and it will fall off. dont scratch it.
If you have Xenons the wires attach to the headight in one connector that is a bit of a pain to undo. be careful, when you do it right it unpluggs easily. Same for the hose for the washers,,, dont force anything.
