3.0 with a manual tranny would be the perfect combination. However if any forced induction ever becomes available for the 2.5, I'll be the first in line. A friend of mine bought a Roush Mustang GT. I need that kind of power in my X

But just like I've said before, if I can't get another Jag with a manual, 4 doors and decent power, I'll probably buy an M5, S4, C63 AMG. I'm not a big fan of the Japanese or American luxury sport sedans. Although I do kinda like the CTS-V. And come to think of it, that's probably the only American luxury sport sedan worth buying. Hell it's the only one available!

Well not so sure a fan but it was a person trying to take his interview but he was really just trying to spray him with the water not get the interview! Sucks because he was actually being nice and doing it and than he insulted him...I though he handled it quite well...I don't know what I would have done...I know I would have been sooooooooo maddddddddddddddd[:@][:@][:@][:@]!!! I seriously would have kicked the crap out of that guy for sure...took a lot of smoothness not to do something! That was just quite rude!!! I would have paid someone to find that guy and take care of him if I were Cruise!

I'm not a huge fan of cadillac but those are pretty nice...I'd get an m5 but the cost sucks...I don't really care for mercedes after hearing so many stories and seeing what they did to Chrysler...although the new c series makes me want one more than a new x-type! I love the awd on these as they are awesome! Truly though the 3.0 auto to me is nice spartan...especially if you use the j-gate you can make it even more fun[sm=badbadbad.gif]
You drive one yet? I'll be getting a s-type r soon as I get rid of my escape and the x-type...moving on up in the jaguar chain! I love the looks and they are a little bigger than the x which is nice...although driving in michigan with it would be a little harder! I probably wont go back to an american car as I can get the x used for the same price as a gm car i.e. monte carlo, grand prix or others and ours look, drive, feel way bettter than the american cars...the price is awesome and the insurance i've found for them is actually just as cheap as american cars...

I have a 04 X Type, 5spd manual trans. I enjoy shifting through the gears everyday on my way to work.. BUT!!! if I was to purchase the 2.5 or 3.0 in automatic I would deff go with the 3.0 and the extra HP. By me I have seen a 05 X Type, 3.0, auto, 14k miles, asking 18g's.. I think the price is kinda high but I am sure you could swing a good deal.

I also suggest getting a 04 or newer since all of the bugs have been worked out and they are pretty much worry free. Just take care of your Jaguar and it will take care of you.

take care of her, i got a 2.5, i defeinlty would l0ve the extra hp, i just wished i had doen my homework on her, other then just reading a review.

There is a notable difference int he years, primarylt he sterring wheel controls are the same as a ls. And the early generations, the 02,03, have a better, awd, in my opionion, and im sure others will, agree, i still recommend going with a 04 and up.

George, welcome, but I don't think this was the best place to post your question. This thread is 2 1/2 years old. That said, it sounds like you have a phone question. The first question to you is if you are sure you actually have that option in your car? Very few actually have it. All cars have the phone icon, but that doesn't automatically mean you have that feature. When you press the phone button does "no phone" come up on the display? If so, you do not have the option. I am guessing that might be your situation.
