A/C Colder at idle?
I'm not sure if this has been addressed before but here it goes.
My A/C is colder when the car is at idle rather then when I am moving. I have never had a car where this happened. I have had a few cars where it was the other way around and by adding freon the problem was solved. However from a logical way of looking at this just adding freon does not seem to be the way to go.
Does anyone here have experience with this condition ?
Thanks

Yeah, this can happen for in a few instances. The lines may freeze which will cause the system to shut down. A effective expansion valve could also cause this as it will restrict flow.
Have a shop put some gauges on the system, they should be able to give you an idea of what's going on fairly quickly.
