Smile New Battery

Finally found a new battery locally. I saved almost $45 over what Jaguar was going to charge me for the same battery. Oh plus what the gas would have cost me to drive almost 60 miles round trip to the Jaguar dealer and of the course the time.

But I have one situation, the rear passenger window will not go down on one touch, have to hold the button for it to go down, it goes up on one touch fine. All the rest of the windows work with once touch. I followed the instructions in the manual and still can't get this one window to work. Also, I did not need a radio code, even if the manual said I did.

Hey Adam not sure if you've seen where Thermo posted a piece about batteries but actually most batteries are really the same with a different label/logo slapped on them. Just make sure the amps (?) it has listed meets or exceeds the standard Jaguar set in place. I got gimped on a 140.00 battery (mechanic felt I needed it) when I could have gotten a Walmart battery or similar for less. Don't fall for the hype.

The battery I both is exactly the same as the OEM one. Same 6 screw heads on top, same vent setup and the original battery had 264 amp cranking and the new one has 300 amps cranking. It is also warranted for 5 years. I am not concerned I got a inferior battery. The OEM Jaguar battery would have cost me $275.00 with exchange and $40 to install. The new battery I bought was $130 minus $7 exchange and $24 to install. Jaguar couldn't take me if I bought from them for another week to install the battery. All in all I got a good deal.

One more thing, any idea why I can't get the right rear window to adjust to one touch down? all the others reprogrammed fine and the rear window goes up on one touch but not down.

Yea Adam wish I could help you on that. Someone just posted how to fix that a few days ago I'm lazy and didn't write it or save the link down. Honestly the list of tricks is piling up with this car. Even more so than when I had my expedition.
