Central Locking doesn't work in cold weather
2002 X-Type. If outside temperature is less than 5 degrees centigrade (can be dry, not neccessarily frosty) the key fob will not open the central locking. Locks will open with the key in the drivers door but this activates the alarm. Even when the engine started the alarm continues and the central locking opens and closes continually for approx 3 minutes with a mid of its own. Also internal lights flicker and the dashboard lights/symbols are illuminated. Once car running for a while the central locking slows down and evenutally resets itself and everything goes back to normal.
Things we have tried are:-
New battery forboth keyfob
New car battery
New drivers door lock
New drivers door lock solenoid
Any advise greatly received.
