Default Central Locking Problem

Folks I have a 2003 2.5 X-Type Petrol, Manual Box.
This morning I got in the car started up and noticed the interior light was still on, then noticed the door open warning light was on. I stopped the car and made sure all 4 doors were closed properly and also checked the boot was closed. The automatic door locks didn't function either when you drive off.
When I arrived at my destination and tried to lock the car with the key fob the alarm sounded twice as it does when you try and lock the car with a door open.
I have checked all the fuses under the bonnet and they seem to be ok.
The bonnet is also closed properly?
Does anyone know what has caused this to suddenly happen??
Thanks
Campbell

There's a tiny switch in the latch that gets gummed up. Lube the heck out of your door latches and slam each door 10-12 times in a row. I use WD-40. Do the trunk latch too. Every time I've had a lock or lamp issue - that fixes it.

Second to Rudys solution. Try that first, since it's easy and cheap and may very well solve your problem.

I had similar problem and that fixed it. I did use silicon spray lube instead of WD40, not sure if one is better/worse.
