Chuchdog_5,

Check out the attached link for an older post. Hopefully, this will help you.

Looks like the speed sensor on the transmission isn't matching up with the wheel sensor. Also, there could be a loose wire between the 2 sensors.

Good luck

Here's another one. "Thermo" gives a good explanation. Any other issues with the car?

Thank you for the link as it did give me something. But there was two different explanations and im not seeing a solution really for either issue.

Now when the TCM comes to into the discussion, do you think that there is a possible chance that this would cause the car not too start, it attempts to turn over but doesnt seem to fire. And what exactly is the TCM as i cant seem to find it to replace on a parts catalog.

When the car turns over, does it turn over easily and quickly? If no, then take the battery into an auto store andhave them check the amps, not just the volts.

If yes, then take a look at the attached forum comments. Maybe the TCM is going bad, intermittently.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ype-tcm-25275/

TCM - Transmission Control Module
The TCM is located behind the driver side of the dash in the upper corner. Look under the dash and you should first see the auto wiper module if equipped. Remove the 10mm nut on that module and pull it down and out. Next you will see the TCM which is held in by two 10mm nuts. Remove the nuts then once the module is off the studs you can disconnect it.

The TCM is located behind that fuse box under the driver side dash. It is a silver rectangular box. If you have auto wipers you will see the wiper module located on the metal bracket. This needs to be removed first then you will see the TCM.

It might be worth it to send a note to Thermo and request some help on this issue.

Just had the battery checked, its all good. Basically, when i start it, it just keeps turning and turning then it will slowly try to turn over, then it can start right up. I have fuel pressure, battery is good....so im narrowing it down to

TCM- i just dont know enough about it to rule it out yet

Bad gas- i had half a tank when it was doing this. I got it started and went to the gas station, it was sputtering up the hill. Put some 93 in it and it started right up, first time in awhile and it ran significantly better. now today, it wont turn over....im stumped

Anti theft- still trying to figure out how to determine if this is an issue
