Thanks guys.
Its a simple item...chrome vinyl ...my buddy works at a vinyl and got some for meto try out.
Its transparent enough that light still shines through.
Its not as flexible as typical vinyl, but it can be worked with.
I am not sure if I plan on painting those also when I get the chromed sections painted or level them normal.
What do you guys think?

If you were keeping all the chrome I'd leave those...since your painting all the parts surrounding those parts you almost have to remove or paint those parts...The rims will still look good without the chrome...if I get a chance I'll edit it and you can see what it would look like...if you want email me a decent picture of you car perhaps a little bit bigger and you can decide for yourself what you would prefer the chromed pieces or painted...my email is aquill1@gmail.com...

I will get some better pics for you and email them.
I know I prefer the chrome pieces painted, but should I also paint the lights or leave them. I wish a company made some clear ones for the parking lights.
The chrome vinyl is pretty durable. I have power washed them and hand washed...they just now show signs of peeling up. I got some more and honestly could have spent a better amount of time installing them.

I'd either paint the lights or leave the lights but I don't think I'd leave just the lights chrome...imo of course! I prefer chrome to be in the rims and what not...less on the wheel wells, around the windows and in other similar places...People here in Michigan have ruined my take on chrome...the other day I realized why it is because of all of those "gangstas" that have used gold allover the place to make their cars look tacky. Thus I am sort of anti chrome when it comes to those kind of things...

The lights wouldnt be left chrome. If I painted the chrome and decided not to paint the lights, then they would be normal with no chrome vinyl on them. I think that painting it all would look better though. Around the windows, trunk, bumpers, front grill, etc...
I am emailing you a pic to work with. Let me know if it works...if not I will get some better ones.

if you could get me some outside pics it may be easier I'm trying to do it and it doesn't look as convincing as much as others I've done...that also is attributed to the silver color being a little bit harder to photoshop than other more solid colors as the range of colors and shawows change on every angle of the car and about every move of my mouse!
Poor job but gives you an idea...if you search in that album of my online album you will see another one i did on a fellow patron on here...his was easier because it was black and the color doesn't really vary that much...

Snap..........see below a pic of the rims on my A6.
You can say what you like but applying any wheel cleaner then a powerful jet wash does NOT totally clean them. Gotta get down n dirty on yer hands n knees and get those fingers into every nook n cranny and regularly too.
I do mine 2, 3 or maybe even 4 times a week usually, although I havent done them in around 4-5 days and they badly need done now.
Its the only way to keep them fresh n new lookin

The one thing is though that stock rims are much easier to clean than aftermarket...one of the other reasons I'd rather have the stock aguilla's over what I have now...actually I get out of Michigan and I wouldn't have to worry about the damage all the salt our road commission uses on the roads....worst part is we not only have all that salt our climate is so screwed up that the pavement can't figure out whether or not it should freeze or thaw throughout the whole winter so our roads are horrible too!!!
