Has anyone bought/tried those "chrome grille strips" that they sell on eBay? They are really made of ABS plastic door trip, cut to fit the grille slats. It actually looks pretty sharp in some of the pictures I've seen. Just not sure if it looks cheap in person. I have an '03 X-TYPE and thought this might differentiate it a little bit (plus, I like the look)! Anyone tried these? Any pics to share? Feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

I have seen the stainless steel one. I have it on my car and it looks sweet. Your car should have the chrome ones already so i don't know what you're talking about.

I have been looking at these as well. I think I would rather get stainless steel ones over the chrome, because of $40 for chrome means pitting and flacking after one year.

I agree, chrome is just too plain cheap. Looks good for about a year, then it's peeling, flaking...etc...spend the extra buck and get the good stuff....like my pappy used to say, you get what you pay for.....
