Chrome Inserts

Can someone offer any advice please as i wish to fit the chrome bumper inserts on my x type (the ones that are attached to the corners of the bumper) as mine dosent have them fitted as my x is the basic model, does the bumper have to come off or are they stuck on with adhesive strips, any help apreciated. many thanks.

Each corner is held on via 4 clips. Unfortunately, you have to remove the bumper cover to access the clips. Removing the bumper cover isn't hard. The hard part of it all is on the front you have a single bolt on each side that is tucked up into the wheel well and in the rear you have 2 bolts on each side inside the boot(trunk) area that you have to move the carpet out of the way to access. The bolt behind the NAV player is somewhat of a PITA due to the relative little area back there. Other than that, the rest of the bolts are out in the open.

Sounds like you have the "sport" model....basically chrome free which is essentially an upgraded version of the SE which has the chrome
I know some of you guys over there love the chromed look, so yeah you can do it I guess.
