Clear Front & Rear Side Markers

Clear Front & Rear Side Markers
I've seen these on Clearcorners.com, what do you guys think? I think $310 per pair is a bit steep! They will change the front (amber) & rear (red) sidemarkers to clear for a clean look.
Too bad they do not light up red or amber in order to be "street legal", does any know elsewhere I could get something similar to these?

I have to admit those do look absolutely great, but are ridiculously priced... $620 for a set of sidemarkers is just absurd. Even for a Jaguar, hell that's overpriced even for a bentley..
No one else makes a standard one? I think they may be converting these to led, judging by what the page says (of they are bolt in once the modifications are carried out). I think if we can find the supplier of the lens or the regular clear sidemarkers we could be onto something here.. I'm an EE, and converting them to led's is VERY easy if you know what you are doing. Also there are plenty of places that sell LED's that appear clear when off but light up red or amber to keep things legal depening on how stringent law enforcement is where you may live....
I wonder if people would be interested in putting together a batch of these, and what people would be willing to pay for them...
There has to be someone else making these... time to do some research.

RE: Clear Front & Rear Side Markers
yeah looks very off. maybe its for all 4, that seems a little more reasonable (well 77+ bux each so not really that reasonable). The other sidemarkers that are close to the door can be found for 75 bux for a pair for the clear ones. I dont see why these wud cost so much more.

Damn howd u find those for so cheap, last time i checked (a few years back now that i think about it the heapest i found were 75+shipping). I dont need the clear ones cos i have them tinted, so it looks like that are the sam color as the paint and the bulb still flashes orange thru the tint

Osram and i think sylvania make "silverstar" bulbs, that are chrome but blink amber... I had them in the clear corners of my old mercedes, to avoid the fried egg effect of the white lens with the amber bulb in it.....
As far as these plastic lenses go, I don't see why the sidemarkers are so damn expensive..
And yes, from clearcorners.com its 310 a PAIR not for the set of 4. That's absolutely ridiculous, but in a way it does give some hope that there's actually an aftermarket company out there making these. Forget them trying to put some led's in them and charging through the nose and then some for them, that's absurd.

RE: Clear Front & Rear Side Markers
Clear corners is in the same industry as I am, but due to their lunacy I don't consider them competition. I believe I first introduced myself on here I might have included the fact I own www.lextech.org
Automotive LED is what I do, so to see them charging these rates is just nuts. I'm thinking about going into my X-type and seeing what all is involved to do the pure white conversion to the interior parts like I do on the Lexus. If I succeed, I'll post some pics and show you all how I did it.
If anyone has pictures of the INSIDE of any electronics of the X-type (Ac unit, radio, cluster) lemme know, they will help me plan before I remove the units.

RE: Clear Front & Rear Side Markers
The center side markers are available in clear or smoked, but the front and rear U.S. spec corners are not produced in clear or smoked. A carriage from a grocery store cracked my RR side marker lamp and it was about $75 from the dealer. I looked for clear or (preferably) smoked lenses to replace it, but I found nothing. If somebody is willing to find a company and get a group buy going, count me in. I personally think up to $450 for all 3 pairs of side markers is pretty reasonable, considering they would really be a "custom" application.
