CNG conversion X TYPE 2003 Jaguar
Hello everyone
First of all I am aware that very few people converts their cars by themselves but maybe someone has sufficient technical knowledge to help me in my conversion. I am looking for a compatible CNG kit for my Jaguar X-TYPE 2003 4 cylinders Diesel. From my own research, it seems that multipoint injections kits like this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3300...AbTest=ae803_5 may do the job,
I already know which CNG tank to buy but it seems difficult to find the right equipment for my car. Does my car have direct or indirect injection? I can’t find that information on my owner manual nor on the internet. Do I need to buy a kit that is especially made to work on a specific model of car or can that be more generic? And are there any prerequisite for the installation of the kit? Like changing valves, motor parts,...

Thank you for your informations, I find it very usefull. I believe that those warnings and tips for LPG does apply for CNG too as I found no important difference between the way both carburants works. I will indeed need to make a very precise mix of CNG with air, but also with diesel as Diesel engines doens't work with CNG only, but requires a mix of both to run.
Does anyway also know if the installation procedure for LPG on petrol engines is the same as in diesel engine? I believe Diesel engine needs a lot of modification but I canno't manage to find which ones. Does anyone has a link to such a guide? Or maybe has personal hints?
And lastly, it the installation for LPG (exept for the tank) the same as for CNG? Let's say I build LPG on my car by following the link Dell Gailey has provided me. Will it work if I put a CNG tank after installation of the kit?
Thank you very much!

LPG and CNG are very different. CNG compresses the gas under extremely high pressure, the valves Tank and evaporator is very different to LPG. the lpg is stored under pressure as a liquid at about 180psi and converted back to gas by evaporator. LPG is available at lots of petrol filling station.
you can run diesel cars on a mixture of lpg added to the air socked in, it will increase the BHP of the engine but not reduce the mpg by a lot.

I don’t know for sure but it seems this one should do the job. What do you think?
