If no one points you to a suspected place (but maybe even if they do...) a good way to test to see if a leak is there is to get a can of starter fluid and spray the suspected spot liberally. If there is a leak some of the fluid will get sucked in and the engine will speed up momentarily. If there is no leak the starter fluid will just evaporate leaving nothing to clean. This will, at least, confirm the existence of a leak and then you can start trying to figure out how to fix it... ;-)

Brothellash-
You meant P1647 correct
Concerns with HO2S2/1 (heated oxygen sensor left side #2 sensor rear)bank1
Heater failure
circuit shorted to ground
circuit shorted to high voltage(signal not reaching PCM)
circuit open (wire broke,connection ect)
Bad PCM or connection
P1 verses PO means it's model specific
The H means it's heated
Heated should be the rear one
So It's Heated 02, sensor 2 (rear)bank 1
there should be a collector where the exhaust pipes meet thats where it is by the thermostat pipe. The connector is under the battery box by the head light, there's two of them there.
As for where the problem started it's hard to tell, vac leak, connection,if it isn't fixed it will come back.

Here goes, I changed all oxygen sensors, checked for vac leaks and had all relevant wiring checked over. And still got the same code! So back to basics. I cleared the code then unplugged each sensor in turn, until I came to the sensor that was throwing up the same code. I tested this sensor with a meter, and everything was fine. Now,being an expert at removing these little suckers, I decided to whip it out and have a visual inspection. Ten minutes later, nothing. Out of sheer desperation I ran to the dealership and got another, fitted the little devil, cleared the code, took the car for a few runs, a few days later and no dash light,no codes. GO FIGURE. Just one last point, the sensor I got from the dealership is made by Denso.
