I got this one and it works great! I belive it works with "I-products" too.
I use an app called Torque on my Android phone. Looks like this is less
expensive than the OT-2 too!

gragner, you need to ask yourself what you are wanting the code reader to do. There are the basic ones that will read only the engine codes and give you a 5 digit code, no explaination of what it is. Then you have some that will give you the code plus a 5 word explaination of what it is. Then you have the readers that will read all of the codes (engine, chassis, body, and universal). Then you have some that will give you real time readouts of the engine parameters as seen by the computer. This can be helpful when trying to figure out engine issues and the like.

Obviously, when you start looking at more features, the price goes up. If you have a laptop, you can get one with parameter readout and whatnot for under $300. But, if you get a stand alone unit, you are looking at several thousand dollars. So, how much are you willing to spend? Me, I have had both (laptop version and the basic handheld) and while I liked the laptop version, the one I got I had a hell of a time keeping the program running like I needed it to. May have been my bad luck.

ive got 2 different scanners.
Ivono 5050 obd2 got it on sale for $50.. works great and have had it for years. i think its scanned more of my friends cars than mine lol...every1 at work knows i have it and it seems like once a week im lending it out.

i also have the maxitrip...it does a wackload of things, on top of obd2 scanning and code reading/clearing it tells you fluid temps, maf rates, cyl 1 timing (wish it told all cyl timing but 1 is better than none) throttle position, your speed, trip counters, fuel levels and usage rates and a lot more.
its basically a knock off of the scangauge 2 but at half the price and i got it on sale for $60 i think so it was about 75% less...cant go wrong.
my only complaint is i cant link it with my cadillac because i have a built in scanner in the cts so as soon as the car senses 1 scanner running it blocks the other...but ive never been able to get any scanner to link with my cts other than the $4000 tech2 that the dealership uses (man i want 1 of those.)

The Scangauge II is $160 and it does just about anything...

Has anyone gotten a Scangauge II to read Transmission Fluid Temp?

I just bought an Innova 3130 and works great. Check Walmart (yes you heard me correctly) online for the best price. $127 and $.99 shipping to home. Came in 3 days. Most everyone else was better than $200 on it.

"phd12volt" Jason and I both have this one.

UPDATABLE SUPER CAN OBD2 OBD II Code Scanner /Reader! | eBay

It reads Jaguar Specific Codes and many others.. Doesn't dig into TCM or ABS modules but has done everything I need.. Jason loves his too...

Can't beat the the price either (I've had mine for years)
