Default Coolant level problem

After flashing the coolant I did system bleeding. However the expansion bottle is now steaming and releasing coolant as though it were excessive. I keep topping with water which rises when engine starts. What could be the cause of coolant level fluctuation? No sign of leaks from pipes or radiator, temperature is okay.

Another thing is that the bottle cap splits in two, Top unscrews and leaves bottom sealed in- I battle to open it. I glued them together with epoxy for now.

Moeketsi, first things first, replace the coolant bottle cap. That is leaking and not allowing your car to build up pressure in the coolant system. These cars build up a slight pressure in the coolant system to allow them to run a little warmer and not get boiling to occur (need me to go into more detail, let me know). So, having the level go up and down and you getting steam out would be normal for this case. With that being said, the coolant level does rise slightly when the motor goes from cold to normal temp. Hence the 2 levels indicated on the overflow tank.

Replace the cap, make sure you have about a 50/50 mix of coolant to water and you should be good.

Type in, 'X type jaguar coolant reservoir' to AliExpress site and you will find the reservoir, caps etc. at very cheap prices.

I got mine VERY reasonably from Wal-Mart from a third party associate, that way any problems I deal with Wal-Mart. Came with both the bottle and the cap. There is a thread by me on this replacement (why and I think price) in this forum if interested.

Hi Thermo
Thanks for the advice. The dealership sells the bottle and cap as a package not separately which is expensive.
Thanks for other comments as well. I will try online procurement.
Much appreciated

POSITIVE FEEDBACK.
The Bottle cap arrived today. I fitted it after topping coolant and drove around. It works perfectly and there no more steam coming out of the bottle nor "excess" water gushing out.
