Coolant puddle on floor but Overflow tank full???
Hey fellow Jag enthusiasts,
So for the past 2 days my Jag has been leaving puddles of coolant on the floor after long drives but level of the overflow tank isn't moving. My car also did this about 5 months ago when it was on a tow bed but never thought anything more because it never had this problem again until now.
What the heck would cause coolant to be on the floor but have no change in the overflow fill level?
EDIT: puddle is near the passenger side of the car

Hey aCapiz,
Over by your passenger compartment, front of the vehicle, is where the lower-radiator hose is. I've seen them leak after long drives around the sealing surfaces, on both the radiator and the engine oil cooler sides; also the drain plug I've seen leak. If it's the drain plug leaking, pull it out, put some good gasket maker around it and stick it back in there, refill the system. If it's the lower-radiator hose leaking around one of the sealing surfaces, you'll have to drain the system, get a new hose and get it installed. More then likely the reason that you're expansion-tank level isn't dropping is because of an air bubble in the system.
You can also get a coolant system pressure tester, Radiator Pressure Tester Kit, and test the system. It will help you find exactly where the leak is.
Hope this helps.

aCapiz, is the puddle that you are seeing the same color as the coolant or are you simply finding a puddle of water there. As goofey as this sounds, when you run your defroster, it uses the A/C system to dry the air, which will cause the condensate to drain out the bottom of the car much like what the A/C system does during the summer. Granted, if the liquid is colored, then that removes that possibility.

Ok guys thanks for the info. Looks like it is definitely coolant. You can see where the water is coming from on the picture and when I touch the hose it definitely feels like the origin of where the coolant is coming from. If I am not mistaken the coolant drain plug is near this hose correct? Could it be a leaking plug?
