Default Coolant reservoir cap

My 2005 Estate Wagon, X-type, coolant cap does not want to come off. I have loosened it counter clockwise like before and pressed down on cap after fully loose, then turning ccwise but it does not come off. Any ideas?

Default cap

You just have to pry it up slowly a little at a time. But just in case buy a new one so when the cap splits it two you won't be too mad. lol. I've bought 3 already. Just go slow. It will come off.
