Correct color for replacement defroster plugs
I need to buy some plugs for my dash defroster but I am unsure of the color. I'm not sure what Jaguar considers the color of my interior to be officially. Is there a way to determine the color for certain? I have attached two pictures of the defroster in the hopes that someone might know the color...I'm thinking sable but I want to be sure before ordering...thanks!

Trim color is on the ID plate located on the B pillar. It's a three letter code; mine is LEG, Warm Charcoal. Those three letters will be a suffix on the applicable trim piece part number. I'm new to Jaguar, but believe there were only four trim colors.

Trim Code ADX = Sand which is the primary trim colour.......
...... BUT the secondary trim colour does not appear on the manufacturer's sticker.
The Windscreen Demister Grille Blanking Plug is available in secondary trim colours:
Granite (LGP)
Mocha (AMB)
Oyster (AMT)
Sable (AEK)
Warm Charcoal (LEG)
If you have the grille then one of these suffix colour codes should be on it.

That sable color is a light brown tint and I would say sand is a shade that would compliment it. Truth be told I bought the two plugs in this color because they didn't have mine in stock. I lightly sanded and then hit them with spray paint and matte clear coat which is very close to my Warm Charcoal parts. Close enough for me anyway to be where they are on the dash.

Plastic trim parts steadily become harder to find across all Jaguars as each model gets further beyond end ing production. It's usually the first category Jaguar clear from inventory.
Several other members have used the same solution as you by spraying a 'wrong' colour part to match.
The suggestion of 3D printing for unobtainable plastic parts has been put forward in some of the forums but nothing has yet come of it.

Also be aware that Jaguar issued MANY TSBs for the X-Type and this was addressed with XT412-01.

Thank you all for the help and for such great advice...I'm really learning a lot. I'm new to the Jaguar world, only having this car for a few months now...I have attached picture of the codes on the defroster grille for your consideration...Graham mentioned that those numbers should tell me the color but I can't seem to decipher the code...let me know what you think...thanks again!
