Welcome to the forum chiliboy,

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center to X-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Whether the veneer can be repaired depends on the extent of the cracking. Photos will help everyone to assess this.

Thanks for posting an Intro. I've responded to it in the New Member Area.

Graham

Default Cracked Woodgrain

Hello. As an alternative, if the piece is in poor shape, I see a lot of Jaguar X-Types in the junk yards. Might be much easier than attempting to remove the piece without doing more damage. Good Luck!

I would highly recommend the junkyard route, much cheaper

I was looking to replace wood grain panels, but then I just went with 3M Di-Noc hi performance vinyl that I found on these threads.

just wanted to say thank you to everybody that give me the great advice unfortunately I took my X-type back to the dealer too many issues with it. I loved it but had to leave it. I got it's cousin a 2000 Lincoln LS. This will be my second one. I Got plowed into the back by a drunk illegal alien with no insurance 5 years ago. Thanks again everybody. Peace
