Cruise Contol?
Hi guys Im new here and I have a question for you.
I just bought a 2001 X-type 3.0 v6 and absolutely LOVE IT TO BITS.
apart from one it has no cruise control. i have seen some jags with cruise so my question is if i get hold of STEERING WHEEL CRUISE CONTROL / ON-OFF TYPE Jaguar X-Type S-Type XJ | eBay
this. is it plug and play or would i need any other parts like modules and other bits.
Thanks NW1996

NW1996, first off, welcome to the Forums. I think you will find a lot of useful information around these parts. We also strive to be a slightly different car club in the amount of information that we share and in general the attitude of the site. As part of this, we have a favor to ask of you. Please stop by the New Member Section and introduce yourself. We are quirky in that respect as we like to get to know one another and in general have a slightly more personal experience here. Once you get involved, you will see how this sets us apart from others. So, grab a cup of joe, sit back, enjoy and keep the conversation going.
As for your question, to add cruise control should be fairly straight forward in that the only part that needs to be added is the new steering wheel with the cruise control buttons. Where this may get expensive is whether this feature is activated on your car or not. If it is, putting in the steering wheel is all that is required. If not, you will have to take it to the dealership (or a higher end repair shop) and have them get into the ECU to turn on this feature.
