Default Cruise Control Removal?

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to remove/clean cruise control switch assembly on my 2003 Xtype 2ltr petrol engine Jaguar, as it takes a very long time to activate and I need to continually press the +button before it will turn on. I’m thinking that the terminals may need cleaning? but I don’t know how to remove the switch mechanism. HELP

Docko, as I recall, you need to first disconnect the battery of your car. This will disarm the airbag system and for the most part, prevent a detonation of the driver's air bag (make sure to wait about 5 minutes between disconnecting the battery and doing any other work). From there, on the back side of the steering wheel, there should be 2 bolts that hold the airbag in place. From there, the airbag should come off and disconnect the plug (set the airbag in a safe place with the leather facing up). At this point, you should be able to access the switches. They should be held in place with some torx bits and a plug or two for the functions.
