Unless you have been drag racing it or running it in real harsh conditions just wait until the recommended interval and you'll be fine. No need to change it every couple months. Not necessary and you'll go broke.

 

I was going to wait a couple months and put something good in it. Maybe Syntec or Mobil 1. Is Valvoline any good? It's pretty affordable for synthetic but wasn't sure on the quality. I was thinking maybe Castrol Syntec. Not sure if I should go with high mileage oil. I'm sure a good synthetic would be fine. GTX is more affordable but it's a mineral oil. I heard with synthetic you can go 5000 miles before changes instead of 3000 with regular oil.

 

Have you looked up the factory recommended interval and oil type?
