Doors not unlocking from inside

Hi all,
I'm really new to this platform as well in the Jaguar business. So I'm really sorry when I'm repeating a (old) question, but I couldn't find any meaningful answer yet...
My 2001 X-type as some weird behaviour with the central door lock:
- after firing up the engine and starting my ride the central door lock kicks in as expected. After stopping and turning off the engine, the door's can't be unlocked from inside by pulling the door handles (no difference whether the key has been pulled or not). Only way to unlock the doors is by using the remote;
- when I manually engage the central lock BEFORE driving opening a door by pulling the handle works as expected.
So it seems there is a difference when the locking system is engaged automatically or manually. But I still couldn't figure out the secret... Anyone who can help...?

The first week I had my X-Type on a couple of occasions I thought I was not able to open the driver side door from inside so went out the passenger door. Being a little bit more aggressive with it I was able to use the interior door handle normally. Thinking something was wrong I took the inner door cover off and oiled and greased everything in that latch mechanism and it got slightly better but it still takes more effort to work that door latch than on any other car I have owned. It has worked reliably for years so I have stopped thinking about it but I do have to pull the inner latch lever very hard to get out of the car.
