Default DSC System Error

What started out as a periodic problem has turned into a constant error in my 05 X. I thought it was due to a low battery (it started after being in storage and not run for several months), but I don't have any issues with the battery or charging, so it would seem unlikely. Everything seems to run just fine besides the error light and display. If you guys have any helpful insight into this, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Sam

It's the battery, had the same issue in my 05'.

Dealer told me to replace the battery, as this was a TSB out by Jag at the time.
Refused to pay the dealer price for an re-labeled Interstate battery.
And they refused to diagnose the car any further until i replaced the batter.

Replace battery, with a yellow top, and the problem went away.

i had no starting issues, no charging issues.

I have a DSC Fault light along with ABS light. When we read the error code it showed us comunication error with both front and rear left. I checked the sensor on the front everything looked good. This is on a 07 xtype.

Thanks guys, I think I'll try hooking a code scanner from one of the parts stores to see if any codes pop up and have the battery tested at the same time. Even if the battery does test good, I may replace it anyway as suggested.

I had the battery checked and it is bad. I'll try filling up the cells with distilled water before replacing it. Hopefully that is all it needs...they are each a little low.

Won't make a difference, bite the bullit and get a new battery, mine wouldn't hold a charge, added distilled water, held the charge (or so it seemed), then the battery light started flickering and I made it home but every fault light was on.

Replaced the battery cleared the codes and everything was perfect. it was 60.00 so......
