Mos, figure this into the price of the car when thinking about whether it will be a good deal or not. First off, plan on spending another $100 to have a dealership or professional shop hook up their computer to get you the code out of the car (can't be obtained from your local auto parts store code readers). It may be something cheap and easy like an ABS sensor (around $100 for a new one as I recall) and installation is really easy (basic hand tools, a 10 year old could replace it). Then you have a wiring issue for something like this. Could be a damaged wire right out near one of the speed sensors, it could be something under the dash. You never know. This repair could be fairly cheap to fix, could be fairly expensive ($500+). Then you have the computer module. A used module from a junkyard will probably set you back about $300 plus installation/programming, a new module will be up around $1000 plus installation/programming.
So, are you willing to drop up to around $7000 possibly on this car? that is only a call that you can make. Just pointing out things to consider. You could get a hell of a deal and get the car for down around $5600, but there is the other side.

My 05 DSC warning was also caused by a weak battery. Started giving me a warning on the coldest days but a restart would clear the message. Then it started happening during warmer weather and eventually on every start. Jagtech1 suggested it could simply be a weak battery and he was absolutely correct. Apparently the computer is very picky about getting the exact amount of current. As the battery gets weak, starting the car causes enough drain that some systems malfunction. The entire scenario progressed slowly over a 1 year period yet the car NEVER had any trouble starting, even in 0*F temps. It appears the original battery lasted about 6 years, not too bad.
