Default EGR code after replacing eg

Hi all, I am looking for some help with my 2008 2.0 Diesel egr valve. I got the engine managment light on so put the code reader and it came up with faulkt in egr so I removed and cleaned it, very little grime but replaced when cleaned.. light stayed out for 30 miles then same code. Bought a new egr and fitted it, light stayed off for just under 100 miles then same codes again. Codes are : PO405 egr sensor A circuit low egr valve drive circuit low voltage. and P1000 system check not complete. the 405 code clears but the P1000 wont . My question is... Is there another sensor in this system that is at fault, and where would it be located... Would really apreciate any help I can get with this as I honestly dont know where to go next to solve this issue.. Car runs great just keeps coding... Thanks

The p1000 is ALL systems (drive cycle) have not completed (from clearing a fault). When ALL the requirements for the drive cycle are completed with no new or reoccurring faults, it will turn to P1111.

Thanks Dell but why would i still be getting the PO405 code? I suspect another sensor as their was no change at all when i replaced the EGR with a new one so this points at something else causing the code, I have checked the wiring and all looks ok it came on yesterday after a 20 mile run no light then it sat for half hour then came on 10 seconds after starting. on idle..

P0405 is an OBD-II generic code that the engine control module (ECM) detected the engine exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) sensor has went below its specification range. A short to ground of the sensor input to the ECM.

So until you fix the cause, it will reoccur. Thus the fault clears (OBD) but is not fixed and comes back. Thereby p1000 remains until no REOCCURRING fault codes.
