Electric 2.5 SC install
I also posted this in the performance area, thought it would get more looks here.
I purchased a 2.5 psi electric supercharger and tried installing yesterday and ran into some issues, has anyone ever installed this before? if so some help would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to break it to you, but there's just no way that such a tiny little impeller is going to push enough air to make any difference at anything much more demanding than minimal load, low-rpm cruising. What's more, it looks like there's nothing more than a two-wire installation, which means it's either on or off - no gradual ramp-up of boost like you would have from a belt-driven supercharger or exhaust-driven turbocharger. And I'd venture a guess that it's so restrictive at higher intake demands that you will actually *lose* power, even if it's working "properly."
If you want an even better understanding of why that thing is doing more harm than good, then go to your local library and check out any of the countless books available on supercharging and turbocharging. I'm partial to this one as a good introduction to the principles involved:

Bottom line is that you got snookered. Consider it a $225 lesson and move on.

Sting, I see a few problems with that little gizmo (I am being polite here).
First thing, the little blower that you are looking at is not street legal. If you read the fine print, it says "For Off-road Use Only". Not saying that cops are going to pull you over for having it installed, but if you go through a state vehicle inspection and they spot it, that can be grounds for your car failing inspection.
Secondly, there is no statement about rated CFM at 2.5 pounds of boost. Ask the company how many CFM that is rated for at the stated boost. I bet you will find out that they will do 1 of 2 things: 1) not reply at all to your e-mail, or 2) state that the CFM is something like 50 CFM. Just a hint, your car will need atleast something in the 300 CFM range just to get factory power. Something more in the 500 CFM range is what you would need for more power.
Now, I am by no means an engine expert and know everything there is to know about these 3.0L engines. But, that little toy is not going to do it for you. I could get more boost out of a leaf blower than that thing for the same price.

For fun, I did a little research on superchargers. In reference to the manufacturer's typical claim of adding 50 hp, I calculated how much HP it takes to drive a supercharger that would give a net HP boost in this range. The answer is 85.
35HP would be used by the supercharger to drive itself, the 'left overs' would be the net 50 to be used to propel the car
The last 85hp eletric motor I saw weighed about 700 lb and draws around 170 amp continuous current.
