Engine Oil Question.

RE: Engine Oil Question.
I am definitely not getting involved in this one.
However, to the OP I would ask your dealership rather than this forum. It all comes down to will the dealership void the warranty if you use something that is not explicitly stated. I wanted to use M1 oil on the Jag, but the dealership suggested to only use Castrol dino. Thus, I do all my oil changes w/suggested filters and suggested oil and save my receipts.
Stick to to what the dealership wants you to do. In terms of long-term wear between a good dino and a synthetic, I highly doubt you'll see that much of a difference in the duration of the car's life. Furthermore, document all your receipts.

Yes I have used Edge many times with good results. I have been on M1 0w30 with even better results. The dealer ship is going to tell you 5w30 because that is what is in the book but you will get better answers at bobistheoilguy.com then anywhere else. I will be changing my this weekend with M1 0w30 waiting for a NJ to Florida run in early march.
