Hello again from Vienna ,
My x-type have anengine problem , showing errorcode T0346, It should be the cam shaft sensors (my jag dealer told me to change them, already done but doesn´t help) . Did somebody had also this error code problem whit engine goes to emergency programm? engine stutters and runs pretty bad round - after this the engine lamp flashes and after 1 minute the engine light flash constant but no power.
Could it be the cabling to the sensors?
Many thanks in advance
Alex

Alex,
Your post is confusing. According to JTIS, there are two codes associated with the Bank 1 camshaft sensor (P0340 and P0341), and two different codes associated with the Bank 2 camshaft sensor (P1340 and P1341). Your code matches none of these. Also, I don't understand why a Jag dealer would recommend changing both sensors based on receipt of one code. Can you clarify? What code or codes are you actually reading?

not being at work, I cant look up the code and dont remember that 1 off the top of my head, but I can tell you we replace Xtype engine harnesses like theyre going out of style(not really) but often enough that when in doubt we replace it and never have a repeat repair. Theyre crap and othe than the coonector behind the ac compressor, and alternatorits fairly easy

Hello Mark C ,
I chekced again the fault report ( not from jaguar dealer but from breakdownservice company, ) the code is 0346.
Both sensors are already replaced but as did a testdrive after 150m the engine light comes again!!
I was very angry because I had to pay befor 400 $ for this replacement and parts!!!
I think this is a cabling issue between the sensor and the motor cpu , because sometimes the car rides with no errors but suddenly - emergancy programm...
I agreed with the jagdealer a new repair appointment and 2 working hours free.
Brutal : what you mean by : Theyre crap and othe than the coonector behind the ac compressor, and alternatorits fairly easy
Do you mean the connector is crap or or the cable is damaged? Could this cable be replaced separatly?
Thanks for your assistence
Regards
Alex

No I meen the engine harness is crap, its the only car we put wiring harnesses in alot more than we should or would like too. And the only hard part of the replacement is the connectors that are behind the ac compressor for the oil pressure switch. Thats why the job only pays 3 hrs, cause its easy
