floor noise

Steve, It would be most helpful to know what vehicle model you are having a problem with. You might want to add your vehicle information to your signature using the User Control Panel to add it..
Because of the symptom you have I am guessing you have an AWD model. If so I would recommend you reach under the vehicle and locate the drive shaft. Give it a good hard shake. Does it move? If YES your carrier bearing needs to be replaced. If NO then you will need to get it on a lift and start searching for any loose components. There are no wires moving that you could feel with your feet. There aren't any wires in the main floor area.
