Default Fluid Capacity

Does anyone know what the fluid capacity for the rear axle and transfer case is on the X-Type 3.0? I was going to use mobil 1 75-140 limited slip fluid. Is that ok?

I will change the tranny fluid later this year. Has anyone confirmed what fliud can be used? If so what type/brand.

Thanks.

I used Royal Purple but M-1 is good too.

TC takes about .65 liters
Rear Diff takes about 1.2 liters

Jury is still out on the Tranny fluid..

Thanks all!

The job is finished. I drained and pumped out of the transfer case about 325 ml. I added about 450, the max I could before it began to overflow. The drain plug had some sludge on it. The fluid did not look to bad. The rear axle fluid was worse. I pumped out 1.2 L and refilled with 1.4 L until it began to flow out of the plug. The fluid was very, very dark and the plug had more sludge on it. The car drives well with a little less drive line noise. Current miles, 42K.
