RE: foggy windows and ice built up on windows help??
It happens most commonly because the recirc flap is stripped where the stepper motor engages the flap and the recirc flap is stuck in recirc mode and breathing in the car causes excess humidity. You can test this easily. Remove the cabin filter. This is under the wiper cowl on the passenger(LHD) side. After the filter is removed look into the opening behind the filter that is covered by a plastic grate. If the opening is blocked by a white panel the recirc door is shut. Turn the ignition on without starting the car and select 65 degrees then press the recirc button so it is lit red. This will close the recirc door then press again so it is not lit and look in the filter opening again. If it is still blocked by the white door it is stripped. For a down and dirty quick fix reach through the grate with a screw driver and push the door upwards to open it. Don't worry, it is already stripped and will move easily. This will correct the problem until either recirc is selected with the button or hot weather arrives and a/c is used on high setting. At least you wont have to scrape the inside of the windows for the rest of the winter. There are more permanent fixes available but try the diagnosis first and we can go from there.
