Default Found this module in my glovebox

Does anybody know how to work it? There is also a little on/off toggle switch by the 12V pluf.

Do you have factory navigation or an aftermarket head unit?

There, I fixed the picture. I have a factory CD player, but have no idea what the previous owner may have had.

That is indeed a Jensen Media Link, unfortunately it is NOT compatible with the factory unit.

Thanks for the ID help. I am planning on doing a double din touch screen, my factory CD player is driving me crazy. The volume level fluctuates as I am driving, and I can't figure out how to stop it.

This may be obvious, but have you checked the AVC setting? AVC stands for Automatic Volume Control, which should adjust the volume depending on the speed you're doing. I think it's only based on speed rather than being some fancy setup actually checking how loud the cabin is.

That would be perfect! I have fiddled with it, but couldn't find any setting like that. Where do I find it?

It's easy to find in the main menu if you have the factory touch screen, if not, then:

Thank you! I don't have a touchscreen. I will try it out when I get home. We are at the hospital, my wife just delivered our second child, a beautiful baby girl!!!

Congratulations on your new addition.

quick note when you are looking for a baby seat for the "X" test fit it first as some do not fit due to the angle of the back seat cushion Graco is a good choice.

found this one out the hard way

I have not been home to try it yet, but after driving my wife's expedition around for the last few days, I am getting pretty spoiled with hands free Bluetooth calling, and Bluetooth audio streaming. I think I need to replace my factory unit with a Bluetooth enabled unit.

AVC was on! At least now, I can maintain some sanity until I go aftermarket. Thank you!
