So I was removing my cassette player today to do that AUX input mod and saw some video cables and started tracking them to find the other end.
Nav removed:

Tucked away in over head console:

Inside nav:

Forgot to take a picture of those two plugs that went to the boot. One seemed to be for remote and the other one for power, video and audio.

Mod from a previous owner. I haven't heard about anyone who has Audio/Video cables connected straight to nav unit.
Today I connected a car DVD player to it and connected that little white wire to ground which overrides TV signal. Picture and sound quality is very good, only thing is that it's black and white but when watching a movie you forget about that quickly.
Oh and when you switch that system on it's possible for a passenger to watch a movie while the car is moving, which isn't possible with TV feature.

any chance of a photo of the back of the board that has the wires connected? the small daughter board on the rhs is for teletext, its possible to feed RGB into this but you have to select tv and then text to view it. the square chip in the top lhs is a TDA8842 this has an audio output and a vidio out and in that could be where the connections are made

I forgot to upload 1 photo. If it helps with you with a project or something then I can take more photos but if not then I would prefer not to take it apart again as I have a DVD player already connected to it.
I get a picture and sound if I open the TV image, no need to click on teletext. If powered up it also allows to watch a movie while driving which isn't possible with factory TV.

mod'ed mine and now have av input. was quiet simple apart from the audio feed. the board has a single output that is linked under the ribbon cable socket to feed the L and R side speakers.
I did not cut into the cable I un-soldered the socket and cut the track between the two pins and then put the socket back. I also used a 4 pole relay so only had to fit one.
I'll produce a "how to" guide soon.
I get full colour on mine, you have to use the tv settings to set the region so that the board is programmed to the tv system so it can decode the signal.

each country seems to have a different tv system uk uses PAL USA uses NTSC France uses SECAM, not sure what system you use. JAG allows the region/country to be set from the TV screen. this then programs the chip in the tv part of the display to decode the video signal. the mod intercepts the signal between the two parts of the chip to allow a video signal to be inserted into the part of the chip that decodes it. if the country/region is not set correctly then you tend to get BW and not colour. try changing the setting and see what you get.

allows movies and music to be played from mem stick and has input for rear view camera, not sure if the DVB-t is the same in your area.
