Yes I have to say I didn't read it all the way to the bottom, I went back and re-read it and found the information. Thank-you again for the download, the book is the same one that they were using at the dealer when I went there the other day, great book and a lot of information, Thanks again Buck.

Hello,

I received a "authentication failed" message while using the above login name and password.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Make sure the jepcv3 folder is in the c:\ ROOT directory. Otherwise it wont authenticate.

Take care,

George

Yep, I typed the ADMIN and 123 correctly.

Here is a screenshot of my C: drive

I did notice that the "jepcv3" folder had 0 bytes and the "Jaguar Epc v3 10.2009" had 378MB

I extracted both folder directly to C drive.

Thanks guys!

The jepcv3 is a very small folder only 527 bytes containing a small number of folders (double clicking each time opens other folders namely EPC then DATA then FILES then 4 folders one of which is Logon which contains a file called logonADMIN is 527 bytes. This contains the data check when logging on

Oh no, you guys got a hold of our secrets! J/k, there's nothing on the EPC that I wouldn't share with anyone that asked.

But I will say this... if you do use this copy of the EPC to order parts from me, be sure to tell me that's where you got the part number from. It's not that I don't trust you, but understand that looking up parts is MUCH easier said than done. Not to mention, we do this for a living, and we're pretty good at it. If there is any gray area regarding the part you're looking for, I may have more information on it. I had a shop technician years ago for another brand that had a copy of the parts catalog on his shop PC. He insisted on looking up the parts himself, and ordering by part number instead of letting us look it up. When he started receiving the wrong parts (and his paycheck started getting debited accordingly), he went back to us looking up the parts for him.

And there is a MUCH easier self-installing archive available to us dealers... but only us.

Have fun guys.. let me know if there are any questions you may have.

Oh I totally agree with everything Dan said. And I can write a self installer batch file if anyone really feels compelled to need it. :P

Any chance I could talk you out of a copy of the new one Dan??

Take care,

George

Actually, Jaguar has gotten away from the catalog discs and has gone to an internet-based catalog. There's a site for it, but your login credentials won't work unless you're a dealer.
