Default Front door wind noise

Hi
I would appreciate some tips from members who have cured this problem.

My X Type estate has wind noise at speed, 55 / 60 Mph plus. You would think the window or door wasn't shut properly. Especially when someone overtakes me at speed, it's quite loud.

I fitted a couple of front Heko wind deflectors to see if it makes a difference, unfortunately apart from making the car look cooler they did nothing. I read a post saying Heko are noisy on X Types. I just took them back off however to me theirs no difference, the fault is with the car.

I spotted an old post when researching this saying move the door striker a couple of mm inward, that received some positive feedback, so will be worth a try.

If someone has cured this please let me know what I need to do. There are no visible signs of problems either with window trim or door seals.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked that the window is fully shut outside? From inside it can appear shut but outside is about an 1/8'' short and won't correct by following the usual reset procedure. Disconnect the battery briefly and start again!
