I have not looked under the spare, so I will have to take a peek. However, the X16 plate holder worked just fine. If I could only mount things level...

Will fix and repost.

A trick you my experiment with is to angle your plate downwards, looks better and aids when a Radar Gun is pointed at you.

I live in Texas. Since 1979. Texas requires a front plate. I have never used one. No one in my family uses one. No one in my family has ever been stopped or ticketed for this. If i was ticketed I would pay the fine and velcro the tag on then remove it. Consider moving to Texas. Good luck.

I lived in Texas in 1982 - 1984, got pulled over 5 minutes after leaving the dealer with a brand-new van. He did let me go since I had the front plate in the vehicle. The dealer installed the rear plate and placed the front plate in the van.

reyesl,
You seem to want to provoke argument ?
I did not set out to completely change the topic of this thread as you state.

Facts are, I initially responded to comments made earlier by 'Bruce in North Dakota', and then to comments made by 'Pab' which is pretty normal and atypical for discussions found throughout the Forum.

If you do not like this - why not just skip threads that seem to offend you and simply move on ?
its not your job to be adjudicator or to pseudo-administer the forum, by gesture or comment.

If you want to discuss the above further - then why not PM me ?

Have a nice day,

Whoever was to blame the topic has certainly changed.
I think the PM idea is a good one if you think there is any future in discussing whether the Australian or American way of making hill starts is best, or start a new thread in the off topic section so we can all enjoy the debate.

I'm so very, very sorry for thread hijacking, I was only trying to introduce a little humor to the discourse since we all seem so serious these days... :-(

Yes it is a good idea, will do next time. I will keep out of the hill starts debate!
