Default Fuel pump and power to fuel pump

Good day all I inquired earlier about the locking mechanism on the rear door well that is still a problem but now another problem came up I placed a hi pressure fuel pump inline from the tank and disconnected the fuel pump inside the tank now few days later the car went and stalled the pump doesnt work any more and there is no power going to the fuel pump wires any suggestions or advice to solve my problem ?

You have already posted an Intro so I've moved you question from New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum to X-Type forum. This is the place to post questions about your model.

Did you wire the high-pressure pump to the same line as the in-tank pump? That little external pump draws a lot of current; you've most likely blown the fuse.

Don't just put a higher-amp fuse in, you'll need to run a heavier wire back to the pump.

Good day yes I did connect it directly on the old fuel pump wires and I did go thru all the fuses there was one that was blown a 10amp fuse but I replaced after taking out the pump and running the original pump in the dank but still no luck on that en so i thought it might be the relay ?

Look in thus area and note your model year :

https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/u...tems/fuel-tank

As the fuel pump fails in the brushes arcing it will pit the relay power contacts and not allow enough current to run a new pump

It will also burn the connector on the pump doing the same

Some X308s have a noise suppressor at this final connector

The original relay will click and close in troubleshooting but no joy

Relay swapping options for troubleshooting ?

A couple of belated points.
The fuel pump power supply is a PWM one from the fuel pump module that varies the fuel pump speed depending on the engine's fuel requirement.
Even if your new pump accepts that, it cannot duplicate the dual pump arrangement in the tank - one variable speed electric pump in one side of the saddle tank and one venturi type pump in the other side powered by a fuel flow leakoff from the electric pump.
