Default Gearbox Fault ..

Now this is a problem I’ve been suffering with for some time, but I’ve listened to “expert” mechanics, but none of their advice has worked… I’ve replaced the battery, the right side rear wheel Speed Sensor, etc etc ,,, but my car continues to go into 4th gear in the automatic, once the car reaches, normal engine running temperature. Plus, the, brake light is on at all times. SO, please find me a mechanic that can take my car,,, An Xtype, 2003 Jaguar, Automatic, Right Hand Drive, 2.1 Petrol V6 engine, and fix my problem… You know I’ll love you for evermore 🤓👍🤓

Unless you only want replies from members in Queensland, I can move your question to X-Type forum .....

Send me a PM if you want it moved.

I've moved your thread from Australia - Queensland forum. Let's get the combined World brain power to work on this!

The 'brake light is on at all times' has to be a clue for other X-Type owners to understand what's wrong with your transmission.

So @Docko the codes you posted in the very old thread related to your problem (ABS & NOT brake light), the codes are O2 sensor failure codes. Read h2o2steam reply.
